Shibana

Shibana grew up in India, the birthplace of yoga. From an early age, she was drawn to the mysticism of life. Meditation, prayer, yoga and ritual were a part of her life growing up and continue on to this day. Life’s events compelled her to delve deeper into the practices that she had always been drawn to. Sharing her knowledge is a natural part of her own personal learning experience and journey.

Her affair with conscious movement started at the age of 11, when a doctor recommended exercise to alleviate her severe dysmenorrhea (extreme menstrual pain). Guided from the inside, her own unique approach to movement has been developing to this day, in her personal practice and teaching.

She has earned her Masters Degree in Nutrition, as well as over five hundred hours of formal study in both Yoga and Ayurveda. She considers herself a lifelong seeker and continues to study Yoga, Ayurveda and other esoteric eastern practices under the guidance of her teachers.

Her life’s path is best described to be one of a “Kalyan Mitra,” a spiritual friend who is encouraged by the evolution of consciousness in others. As a teacher, she is known to inspire and touch people in her teachings and workshops with her authenticity, depth, expertise and pure passion.
