The universe and all of its rasa is fruit of the divine union between Shiva and Shakti. The universe is in a constant state of love making. The eternal lover when found within us transforms our relationships with others. The incessant hum of divine union is the the experience which leads us to dance like intoxicated lovers to the drumbeats of the world.

October 3rd is the auspicious festival of Vijay Dashmi signifying the victory of Durga (shakti) over the forces of evil personified in the demon, Mahishasura. It seems the very divine is with us on these retreats. Last year the retreat happened to fall on the significant day of Ganesh Chaturthi.

In this class we will try to reach an expanded state of consciousness where we will aim to 
draw all experiences of the physical body together through rhythmic asana, music, mantra, and meditation, learning that the essence of the highest union is honoring our own sacred sexuality.
